Are you trying to load them to a program or just to a folder?
I was trying to load to a program. A folder would be ok. I just want to be able to print them and up load if needed.
Thanks
You should be able to create a folder on your desk top, open the drive you have the wpts in and drag and drop them to the folder you created on the desktop.
I have created a folder and dropped the waypoints there. When I try to open the folder it wants to know what program. Cant figure out which program is needed.
Thanks
Lowrance has some programs that will open them, don't know if any of them are free though. You might try google earth also. OziExplorer has a free shareware program that you could probably get by with, I've never tried to open a waypoint list with out a map open but don't see any reason it wouldn't.
The waypoints are probably in a file format that "native" Windows programs don't recognise...
Try...:
http://www.gpsbabel.org/
You can most likely just direct GPS babel to the file and it will open it...

The files are .usr. Google "Lowrance waypoint file format", the information you need should be in one of the results.
You can load them into Hot Maps Explorer but they have to be converted to the correct extension. Did you try .usr extensions?
Go into the Waypoint Library and import waypoints with the .usr extensions. Worked for me years ago when I used HME. I been using Navionics Navplanner for years and still use it today.
