time for a change

well the shallows season was kinda screwy this year so iv'e tried to expand my horizions- fished bridges @ Clarksville today and shot few docks in bluestone - no fish shooting but picked up 6 fish on bridges- fish caught was @ 25 fow on a 29' bottom with minnows- believe im done for a while - I appreciate all ya'lls help & I've found brushpiles & caught crappies ways ive never thought of before - and ill try em all agin- but I fish for 2 reasons- the freezer & for fun- aint accomplished either one last few times- spent 5 hours 2 nites ago cleaning up & re-spooling catfish rods - gona chase them a while-

I am done for the summer also. To many water bugs for me. If I go out it will be in the small creeks around here in Currituck. They stay out of the creeks. Fish for shell crackers. You can have the cats, some nice biggins are up in Chick Lake. A bit far for you Mike. See ya this fall for sure.

You just have had some bad luck with your equipment. That was me last year. I have to do some wiring repair too my camper. Lost a 110 outlet for some reason. Had to replace the power unit last year, found one on ebay at a good price. I hope its not the power supply again.

I know How You feel Gene. We finished planting beans last week. Took 10 working days to complete spread out over a couple rain events but in that time we had the planting tractor's transmission burn out a clutch pack, drain plow broke had to be welded, PTO shaft break on sprayer truck, engine water pump crapped out on sprayer truck, Pulley on water pump from PTO shaft walked down the shaft to the pump and got hot and almost fried a $2500 high volume water pump. Got that fixed and noticed the 1200 gallon stainless steel water tank was starting to leak on the spray truck. Got to get that welded. Just put in a new $2500 radiator on our Semi truck. After we got it hooked up, water started leaking around the radiator hoses, fixed that. Then took it for a road test and the brake pedal air valve started leaking. It was under the cab so took it to a shop to get fixed.

When the transmission clutches decided to go Tango Uniform in the tractor, we had to go get another tractor and drop dual wheels off of it, transfer 1800 pounds of front end weights over and drop the planters off one tractor to hook up to the other. Then went back to the shop and noticed the semi truck had an axle wheel seal leaking. The dang truck was sitting in the yard just falling apart. Most all of this happened in the span of 7 days. Got through with the beans (one time anyways) but we got wheat harvest coming up in a couple weeks. If beans were any indication of what is to come, there ain't gonna be much left of me after wheat and still got 400 acres of beans to plant behind wheat. Ain't nothing like pulling on the 4 foot long combine rotor wrench in the hot engine compartment when it is 100 degrees and the sun is baring down on You trying to free up a jammed up combine in June. I suspect by 4th of July, Boscoe could come down here and whip my butt pretty dag on easy.CF

hey crappiefarmer,looks like its been tought on you also,i have a slide in camper for truck also,well 2 days ago all 2 jacks stop working and its not a fuse,have not found the trouble yet,had to stop on that ,too many more things to fix,will check that later, I hope:dono

wow - been the year for it aint it- after fishing Friday was getting boat ready yesterday for catfishing today & noticed a knot bout the size of an egg blowed up on inside of 1 of my trailer tires- pulled the wheel went & bought a new tire & had it mounted came home & when pulled in driveway noticed water pump leaking like a sieve on truck- least hope its just the water pump guess ill find out tomorrow- still aint been catfishing!
