I fitted my umbrella pole to a piece of PVC pipe that sticks into the seat pedistal hole.
I got my pvc screwed to the front of the console on mine.Umbrella slides in nice. And one of those little 12 volt fans from Wally World that clamps on the windsheild. HI-Tech Redneck here.
Just make sure you anchor it or a gust of wind will have you chasing it across the lake.
Yep . Thats why they make thumb screws.
PVC that it will fit into. I mounted mine to the side with C clamps for electrical PVC. Fit it in and drill a hole for a slide in pin. Like SeaRay said you will one day be chasing it across the lake.
One of the neatest ways I've seen was using a piece of PVC that just fit over the seat pedestal. It had two "T's in it with a short piece of PVC and two more "T's with a piece of PVC that as about 30" tall counting the two "T"s. It sat right behind the seat and held the umbrella. Just took a second to slip it over the pedestal and put the umbrella in it. When the umbrella was not needed he put his net in it. Out of the way, yet right behind when needed.
Hope that describes how it was made. Imaging an "H" shape with the PVC and "T"s making the "H".
I made a flat bar that slides between the seat and seat swivel. I have spacers between them for the bar to fit tight. At the end of the bar I welded a piece of 1" thin wall tubing and flattened it at the bottom so the umbrella wont fall through the tube. The tube is close to the seat so the umbrella turns with the seat. It works great and is easily removed when not using.
