New Boat
Well, I had a weak moment and bought me a new to me boat to set up for spider rigging, single poling and pulling cranks, it has a ways to go and may be awhile before it's ready. I have got to get all my rod holders on it and electronics, seats set up the way they need to be and it needs a grab rail and windshield and some other goodies but I'm proud and blessed to be able to have two boats. I really like the center console seems like it has more room than my other boat I had with the side console, let me hear ya'lls suggestions on the what to do and what not to do as the last 4 boats I have had were all side pulling boats as that is my passion for sure, when it comes to guiding for sure, this boat is for carrying the BOSS for whatever kind of crappie fishing she wants to do, at least that's what I told her.

Looks like it will be a good rig! If ya catch any more than usual, the fish need to get outta dodge!

Good starting point. Hope you post more pics of the in process as well as finished product. Since its for the BOSS to gonna mount a lazy boy recliner on the front casting deck? We have a pair of them in the TV room and my BOSS keeps saying they would make a great seat for fishing (hintI hint! HINT!) but I don't have the proper motivation to try it.

Maybe a Bimini top for some shade? Does the boss like single poling or side pulling? I'd be interested to see the side pulling setup you have now?

She simply just likes to be fishing.

Get you a set of E-Z's Spider Locs for the front and a extra set of base's for the rear. Put 2 3/4 pin set base's front and rear and you should be ready to go. Depending on what electronics your running now, you might want to just buy Gimbal mounts and ducers with extra power cable. That way you could move finders from boat to boat. Build you a mount for the front that gets finder up where you can see it.

I'm setting mine up to spider rig, and pull cranks off the side. I've been dabbling a bit with long lining, so the pulling mounts will work for that as well. My girlfriend loves to fish, but doesn't like using "all those poles" so it has to be comfortable to single pole out of. I'm torn between a dub l seat or just two more bases. We have a very similar layout on the boat, so I will be very interested to see what all people come up with. I bet EZ could draw up an awesome setup for that boat

I personally don't want anything in my way, I like the mounts in the floor for the seats so when I get ready to turn it doesn't matter which way I turn. SpyderLoks can be locked in so many positions it aint even funny, love the adjustability and the fact that when you set em they aren't gonna move unless you did a poor job mounting them. The only thing I have seen bother them is a big ole boy about 6'3" at 270 or so, they held him pretty good, from his chest up he was dry and on a cool day that was a good thing. The rack did bend at the main pole where the Tbar joins but it didn't break lose, had to break it off to stow the trolling motor, things are tuff I tell ya and now the latter on the back of the Cat has been tested as well.:biggrin
By the way, ifn that new rig don't have a ladder on the back it would be a good add on, haven't used it myself but it seems folks have trouble staying in my boat for some reason.:dono

Looks like a start of something good.
