Question for you D'arbonne guys/gals. What is the story behind the floating camp in Stowe Creek? It's been there for as long as I've fished the lake, but I've never seen anyone at it. Also, It's the only thing like it on the lake I can think of.

Hi LAperchJerker,
Are you referring to the camp that is just out from the Stowe Creek bridge on the left headed back to Jakes? Back when i was in high school, this was called Pier 15 and belonged to the Terrals in Farmerville. They had parties there back then. Is this what you are talking about?

I'm talking about the floating building on the Stowe Creek side if the bridge right next to the boat run.
I know which one you are talking about but i have never seen anybody there myself
At the end of the boat lane into SC. I've seen a few boats fish around it but never anybody in it or any boat tied up to it. Looks like it could be a winter time fishing hut....don't know....shout out to my main man Roger, get-er done......SLIP
I've been here a long time and I've never seen anyone on it. Its been there a long time.
I was told that it belongs to a family from Choudrant
Lol. Just curious. Always wondered about it. Wasn't sure if there were any regulations about floating camps out there, or if it kind fell under the same as duck blinds.
I have wondered the same thing about a floating abandoned camp tied up across the landing at San Miguel on Toledo Bend. Haven't seen anyone near it in several years. Just curious.
