Here is the problem. My Hummingbird 597ci HD worked perfectly on the deck. BPS moved it on top of a Balzout mount now every time I push the button on the Minn Kota Maxxium the pic and depth go crazy. BPS ran a temp wire for a power source, didn't help. Next they tried a new transducer, didn't help. I went to Radio Shack and got a Ferrite noise reducer and attached it to the power cable as close to the depth finder as I could, didn't help. I welcome any and all suggestions, thanks.
did bps change & use the Minn Kota motor battery for the power source, that will do it, just asking
No, its hooked up to the cranking battery.
Take the xducer (and it's cable) completely off the TM and stick it in the water on the other side of the boat...test for interference....
If there is no interference...the RF is getting into either the xducer cable or the xducer itself....
Then without getting the xducer cable anywhere close to TM power wires...move the xducer closer to the TM motor housing...and test...
If there is no interference with this test...the RF is getting into the xducer cable somewhere...
If there is still interference...follow the steps below...:
Start at post #5 here...

Then call HB 1-800-633-1468
You can very well skip right to calling HB ...and they'll have you do the exact steps I outlined above...
Finding RF is a process of elimination...

Rickie is right on cue about trolling motor interference being a process of elimination Double D. It may take a few tries but we usually can get good results. Call the Humminbird Customer Resource Center folks for solutions to try. It may take a bit to get your call answered as they will be very busy today (closed Monday and Memorial Day weekend generates a lot or calls).
