Jeepy Jr and I decided to switch it up a little and go after some gills..... Caught a ton, several decent ones.... More importantly jr had a ball. Gills seem to be starting to bed ( could be wrong though I'm no gill guru) females fat with eggs....high 60s to right at 70 deg h2o

I got up there and never fished for gills. I found some deeper crappies in 12-15 fow but the were pretty tight lipped. We had some decent size and all the females still had eggs.
We got a few trolling and the batteries were getting tired so we called it quits.
The batteries are just over 3 years old so it's probably time for a switch.
The gills were hitting at Loramie on Saturday if you could keep the 7 inch crappie off your hook. Not sure the 9 inch size limit is working on that lake. I have never caught so many baby crappie.
