Well... Since my cover is blown, here I am.
Since I've been gone I had some really CRAZY ideas...
One thing I said I'd NEVER do... I hated the thought of it, It was the most ridiculous thing I had ever seen.
Yep.... Spider Rigging... "As I hang my head"
Guilty as charged... I used minners too. nonono
This horrible act took place on Lake Nimrod.
I had no rod holders, just shoes, tackle boxes, ice chest and anything else I could use to hold the rods down...
We "The Wife and I" fished for a couple of hours with few bites, finally found a school, dropped some minners on them and caught a double limit in a couple of hours!
Went back a week later, yes sir.... I was ready this time.. I had about 8 bungee cords crisscrossed on the front of my boat to hold the rods... Bingo, spanked em again, and missed fewer than the first time..
So now I finally find myself the proud owner of a pair of HiTek rod holders. Now if I just had a few hundred dollars to buy some rod and reels!!!
So yes... I have laughed, talked smack, thrown rocks, give the ole thumb nose gesture " did I miss anything"? and find myself ALL UP IN THE MIDDLE OF IT!
So go ahead and get your blows in... I'm ready.. Nimrod, you first!
All jokes aside, I finally come to realize this is a tactic that can be used at times that make the difference in catching or fishing.
I'm still JPJ and live for the thump!
