Got on the lake today to play with my new Lowrance more than to fish but still put some rods out. Never caught any crappie, the Gar has moved onto the flats that were holding crappie and have run the crappie out. Had 4 interesting fights with the Gar with one being close to 5', LOL he hit the top of the water at the boat and Rosco run to the other side of the boat :Rofl he decided he didn't want to lick that one :) Since the long rods were not doing anything I fished around a few docks with corks and jigs catching 7 bass with the biggest a little over a pound. Wish I had took my shooting rods but didn't have them today. Stayed on the lake until 2:30 and the wind just got to much to handle.
