Dardanelle

Im a southern arkansas fella, but I have a good friend that lives in Ozark Arkansas. I was wondering if the crappie bite is on in Dardanelle most of the year, or is it a seasonal thing like most of the places I have in the flat country. I have to get em while they are hott down here, but thats about over, and was contemplating north, and there are alot of pics on this site of gorgeous crappie. What is the closest boat launch to Dardanelle from Ozark, and does anyone ever get into the crappie very well in the upper part of the lake like?

Yes the bite is good on Dardanell year round.......if you know where to look.

Uh huh. But unfortunately "Crappie Season" has ended early this year. Russ, Greg and Nimrod have run them right out of the state. This sometimes happens when the feesh hear of such formidable opponents lurking in their living room. Best thing to do is just kick back in the lazy boy and watch Crappie Kings re-runs until next Spring. They are much more likely to be eating then anyway.

Lowe pro I don't know what part of south Ar. u live, I live in south east Ar. some of us down here catch crappie all year! !!!!!!

Yep it's all over in the state of Arkansas till next spring . :Rofl Better brake out the Catfishing tackle and stink bait.:fish

It was a nice crappie season. I'll see ya'll next spring.

Find the brush in 7-15 feet deep and you will find the crappie. Drop a jig st8 down on their heads. It's so easy a caveman can do it.:biggrin

On every lake I ever fished, Crappie "season" runs from March 1 to Feb 28 three years out of four.
