Me, my wife and my cousin and her family are going camping at Guntersville State park Camp ground 23-26 I'm taking my boat and was wondering if anyone could tell me were I might find some bream beds in that area there son got a new fishing rod at easter and is wanting to try it out and I would like to be able to put them on some good fish

Try the islands straight across the lake and the sloughs from the campground, you should load the boat .The camp ground should have beds of bluegills and shellcrackers no more than 8 to 20 feet from the bank..When your looking down from the lodge go straight across toward the mountain.

Try the marina, they are usually full of gills.

Any of the small coves on the park side of the lake just up or down from the boat launch will have beds. There used to be a few shellcrackers along there too. An occasional cat will take a cricket or worm and then the good fight starts.

One of the coves on the park side was our favorite fishing hole, we called it the preacher hole and it never failed to produce big bull bluegills.Now it's a boat ramp and docks.My dad always said when he died he wanted to be buried on the preacher hole.

That's where the Park Ranger's house used to be and may still be. Good little area for bream beds.
