No Crappie fishing but got bird pics anyway
Last Thursday Bruce took me to New Iberia.....there is a rookery filled with Roseate Spoonbills...we hadn't been there in a while......I wasn't disappointed.....it was a perfect day for picture taking, cloudy with a little drizzel......I know that everyone thinks I have a big lens, but I sure do wish I had a bigger one.....I'm hoping that I can get back after the babies are hatched....they are such strange looking birds....they can look very ugly in one position and absolutely beautiful in another.....but the color is so striking against all the green....guess you can tell that I love them......After we left that area, we drove to Lake Martin to see if any of the birds had come back.....we saw a few and one lone Blue Heron, another of my favorite birds.......so even if Bruce has had to wait for his prop to be fixed, he made sure that I'd get out for some good opportunities with the camera......and on another note our grandson, Nicholas graduated this Friday from High School.....so I got a few shots of him....
Anyway, here are two pictures......anyone who enjoys picture taking knows that it's addictive......just like crappie fishing!:fish
