what part of the lake do you plan to fish? Think of this as three separate lakes right now.
The North end, by Starkey Marina
OUCH! Not trying to be funny here, but i can hardly think of a worse area to crappie fish in right now. That water is WAY to clear for me.
It would be worth the time and effort to come around to horseshoe bend area and south. Boat dock pattern is just now emerging in that area.
Further up the river, look more at the flats close to channel drops. Find shad, Find crappie.
Now, if'n your wantin to catch ya some Kentuckies... NOW your on the right end of the lake. Little pink jig, or bubble gum floating worm will get you ate up!
Thanks A Lot! We are renting a boat so, might give the Kentucky Bass a try. Thank you again!
Hope it's ok to plug another board. This one has good info for Beaver Lake. Look for the weekly lake reports from feathers and fin. He's on that lake every day I think. Posts good info about it. When I fish there that is where I go for updates.

We stayed on the north end a couple years ago and crappie were nowhere to be found, but bass were everywhere. Let me see if I can find you some reading material...
