Anybody catching any fish tight lining right now. Thinking about going Friday and didn't know if that was over yet. This is my first year crappie fishing so any info would be great. Thanks.

Tight lining is always an effective way to catch crappie. Is it the best technique all the time, no. But some fish can be caught using this method at any time of year. With fish in transition, I would concentrate on the main lake channel, or deeper creek channels. The fish will probably bite best early and late in the day as they scatter and feed. Middle of the day will find the fish holding tight to brush and structure, they too can be had by tight lining, though a one pole vertical presentation would probably be better.

I have been catching some quality fish up the Reedy fishing in 10 ft of water pulling jigs as deep as possible. Hope this helps

Caught 11 yesterday on Wylie tightlining. Was in 30 fow . fish were hanging about 20 - 25 ft. All on minnows.

I would focus your efforts on the middle to back areas of the creeks and coves in the 15-20 ft range, fish about 12-14 ft down

Didn't go last Friday, but going in the morning. My son took off work to go in the morning with me, so if y'all see a fat guy in the front of a camo Triton 1650 tightling say hello. I will also report back how we did.

We went yesterday and had a good time. No wind at all and very little boat traffic. Kept 15 nice crappie, and threw back alot of smaller crappie. Son had about a 15lb catfish up to boat but I couldn't net it in time and it straightened the jig hook and swam away for another day. Thanks for the info.
