The new Alumacraft Crappie Jon is just fine. 1-2mph slower than my old one but I love having a Terrova on hit. I have been going fishing but just don't have the enthusiasm to post and share at the moment. I am still struggling terribly with the loss of my wife. I am not ashamed to admit that I still have tears streaming down my face on a daily basis. The only positive in life for me right now is that after losing nearly 20lbs I have finally gained around 5lbs back and am no longer losing weight. I went fishing on Saturday and arrived at the lake around 9:00. Prior to losing my wife I was always one of, if not, the first guy at the ramp. I just don't care now. Whenever I get up, I get up, get the boat ready and head out.
I will however preach to you husbands out there. I have found out from other husbands that I was not alone in that my wife pretty much did everything. She did all the grocery shopping, dog food runs, BJ's, cleaned the house, did all the cooking, pretty much everything. If you are a husband like I was and your wife always does the grocery shopping, as soon as you get the chance, go with her. Trust me, it will make her day. I went grocery shopping with my wife a couple of months before she passed and it made her day as I never went. Also, if your wife always cooks dinner make her dinner one night and clean up the kitchen. My wife always made dinner and I would run into the living room while she cleaned up the kitchen and then when I knew she was done I would jokingly ask her if she needed any help. Trust me, if you make your wife dinner AND clean up the kitchen while she relaxes in the living room it will make her day. As simple as these two things are, these are two things that I greatly regret not doing.
And don't forget to look her in her eyes and tell her how much you love her. More than anything right now, I wish I could do just that to my wife.
Tap I know you don't know me at all but I miss reading your posts also... Keep your head up!

Nice rig George. We are thinking and sending prayers for you too. I also put the same plate on my terrova. I love it, take off the t.m and bring in the house. When I am troubled I find peace out on the water, I know that the lord is with me and giving me his help. Just something about the water and quiet time.
Thank you. I greatly appreciate the prayers. It is only my faith in God holding me together and allowing me to slowly move forward.
