thought i had state record fish at shelbyville

fishing rr bridge for crappie and waleye,hooked a big fish,he started comin up to jump.thinking i had big bass,was surpised when it jumped, it was a huge buffalo had it to the boat 10 times but couldn't get my crankbait back with out landing it.tryed to net but net not near big enough. scared it with net ,good bye fish. guess weigh at 35 to 40# looked up state record 48#.there were hundreds of gars on east side of rr bridge spawning maybe?crappie fishing still good.
