High blood preasure sux
I've never had any real medical problems till last thursday, i was on a roof and all of a sudden i got dizzy and started stumbleing, made a beeline to the ladder and got to the ground just in time to fall over( scared the crap out of me and RG ), it took about 15min befor i could stand up. Well, since then i've been to the doctor 2 times, and headed back this morning, Friday i had to MRIs that thankfully came back negative for signs of a stroke, i've had a holster heart monitor on for the last 24hrs ( sucks haveing to write down every little thing your doing while wearing it ) got be at the Dr office at 10:30 to get the rusults from the monitor. BP has been running about 150 over 104 since Thrs, so they started me on BP meds yesterday, have to go back this thrs for an echo cardiogram and a coratid doppler study, i hope they get this all figured out soon, it's driveing me crazy , feeling like crap all the time. Hope to be back out on the water with all of my C.C friends soon, i really hated it when the Dr told me he didnt want me to fish the tournament sat. with yall ( thanks Ms Tammy for picking up my slack ).

Been on BP Pills for 8 years now. Had to change medicine one time a few years back because they quit working....that was scary. Hope they get you straightened out. Cut back on your salt and caffene that will help also.

Been fighting it since 96 and yes it suck's. Last real bad deal was about 6 years ago, med's all of a sudden quit working and I had a spell like you did while running a chainsaw. Reached up over my head to cut a limb and I was on the ground with that thing running wide open beside me. It's not anything to fool with, do what them Dr's tell you.

Hope they get ya fixed up, its tough when you're always going and have to slow down to take meds or go to the doctor, but its for the best. I'm the worlds worst about not listening to the DR., but they went to 8 years of school for a reason! Best wishes for ya

Hope they get you lined out. I've been on meds since I was 38 years old. BP ain't nothing to fool with. They don't call it the silent killer for nothing.

I've take Toperol XL the past several years now,,,, Don't let doctors or pharmacists tell you that generic meds are the same as prescribes meds, They just don't work as well,,, so I pay the extra 190 bucks a month to get the real deal meds instead and they work consistently well every time without all the strange side effects which generic meds do to me like someone choking me or my heart feeling like it's beating too slow during half the day,,,, It's all about disbursement. These are time released tabs and need to be consistant if they are to work well without side effects,,,I'm 55 and been taking PB meds several years now with success,,,, Not too many guys can say that,.... It helps having a pharmasist as a sibling...

You are being warned about something. Consider it a blessing as in your case it is not "The Silent Killer" its bloody well telling you something ain't right. Trust your doctor and wok with them and above all be completely honest when answering questions and discussing symptoms. One thing I find that rally helps me is drinking lots of water 8 - 10 big glasses every day and more if its hot or I am working.

Hope they get you fixed up MrGoodtime. I've been on BP meds for the last dozen years. Still live a pretty normal life.

I also, have had severe BP problems for the last 20 yrs. About 8 yrs ago, I got tired of messing with my primary care dr and got referred to a cardiologist. Two visits to him, some medication changes and soon my BP was somewhat "stabilized". (It still is a little on the high side). I credit the cardiologist for finding the right combination of meds (I'm on 5). Just sayin............ PS I'm now 72!
