Truman Report from 4/24

Hey guys, I was able to drive down to Truman and fish this past thursday in the morning before that big storm rolled in. I don't have a boat, so I was just fishing the rocks in and around Sterrett Creek Marina from the shore. I caught a limit of 11-12 inch fish by noon and didn['t start fishing until about 10am. The fish were about half males and half females. I caught all the fish in about 4 feet of water or less, most within about 10 feet of shore, using a very slow retrieve and dragging a blue/white jig with a black tip and chartreuse 1/16oz head under a bobber about 18 inches to 2 feet. Then the storm moved in, so I cleaned my catch and drove back to the KC area. Hope y'all get into em.

What stage does the spawn seem to be in at Truman? Been Mississippi fish all spring, bout to get into Mo. crappie. Some small ponds 2-5 acres have pretty much spawned out. How bout the larger bodies of water. Speck...lets hear from you Pard. What up?????
