Maybe launch from Brown's ?
Looks like I typed everything in the subject line. What I wanted to say was that I planned to
Try the Rez this Sat for the first time but someone told me they have a bass tourney every
Sat from Tommy's . If I launch from Browns is it worth the effort?
Get there early. Parking lot was packed today..
I would try my best to launch from Tommy's. Yes, they have lots of tourneys there....but it is in a protected cove and they have 3 boat ramps, all wide enough to launch 2 boats at a time. The ramp on the back side is best for loading because it is much less steep than the other 2. You may have to look around a bit but you can usually find some parking. Browns is open to a south and east wind, and it's very shallow around the end of the ramp. Hope this helps.
Thanks. Do you ever launch from one of the ramps near spillway road into Pelahatchie bay?
We have launched at cock of the walk before, but be careful of wind. Its a long boat ride to Tommy's.
I look at the wind when trying to figure out where yo launch on the main lake . South wind I launch at the rankin landing and north wind I launch at the cock of the walk.
Thanks. I made the journey and found about a million trailers parked at Tommy's . Went to Browns and put in to find out my trolling motor battery was 2% charge. (Something, who knows what made it discharge). So rather than not be able to use my trolling motor and have the chance that I could not tilt my motor up I decide to load up and make the trek back to Louisville. But look at the bright side. I learned where the landings are and that maybe I should try to go Monday through Friday.
Tommy's was loaded up this morning . They were parked out on the road . It was the flw tour . Not only do they try to splash you out of the water . They can't park either , we launched at browns wasn't too bad . And during the week is by far the best time to go right now . Come on back and watch what you believe from feesh , he is a fisherman . Lol
