Headed to LOZ
I plan on heading to LOZ in the morning.
I will probably be somewhere between Coffman beach and the dam.
Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for finding crappie, I have a nice side imaging sonar but haven't gotten used to it yet. How about colors, jigs or minnows, depth, have they started spawning?
Any info is much appreciated.

Talked to a guy that fished that area yesterday. Said very early and right at dark best bite. They used minnows under bobber in am, jigs in pm. Hard to get on them once sun is on water. Where we have been 3-6ft down away from bank during the day is picking up one here one there. No gravel on bank keep moving. Good luck and welcome to the site. Good colors seem to be red, and white or chartuese tail, or blue ice.

last weekend blue ice was the ticket for me. Right up on the bank, sometimes it was less than a foot from the water's edge. Like Ripin said, early morning and later at night.

find shade in 4-10 FOW. Along sides/front corners of docks, under catwalks etc. last hour before dark start beating the banks
water is clear so something light colored. Blue Ice, Smoke, etc..

Thanks for the help. I didn't find a pattern, just a few small ones. But it beats staying home and working.
