Today I went fishing and it was looking bleak. Tried the last spot on the way back. Bingo it turned into Catching. I picked up my first Crappie catch of the year. Also had a very good Yellow bite. I also picked up my second Blue Pearch.

That has got to be the fattest beer gut I've ever seen on a yellow perch!
Blue perch? I'm gonna have to do some research on that guy; never seen one with coloration.
Nice mess of crappie, too. Did your sister ever cook up and try the others you gave her?

A little research into the blue perch led me to a sight that explains it may be an albino yellow perch. Not very common at all but others seem to have caught them. Thanks, Bee, for posting up that picture; I never really thought too much about an albino fish compared to something like an albino deer or dog or some such.
Never heard of a blue perch & you're right about the beer gut on the other one. Fatty.
Nice - great looking crappie and nice perch!!! It looks like a female with that big ol belly - was it full of eggs???
What type of perch is the top one in the second pic or what color i know of white perch.
