Chickamauga Lake 4-20-14

Deb and I did some crappie fishing in the pontoon on a beautiful Easter Sunday. I've got some engine issues in my Dyna-Trak right now. We fished for about 4 hours and caught somewhere around 30-35 crappie...1 small smallmouth...1 yellow bass. I believe we had 17 keeper crappie total. We couldn't find any fish on the banks and most of the fish were 12-14 feet in open water near the Bear Trace golf course. Water temperature 63-66 degrees. We got back to vertical fishing with our combo of jigs and minnows that seem to work well for us. We hit some spawning beds on our way in and caught some white crappie in 8-12 feet. We caught two that had eggs and they were released. A few cell phone pics...
