How bloody should the eggs be when they are close to spawning? Most of the ones we cleaned showed very little blood if any at all.
When you are cleaning them and cut thru the egg sack and some of the eggs are loose and scatter, they are ready to lay.
I hear the bloody thing all the time but not sure I understand it or would agree with it. The eggs get runny when she is laying. They look yellow to me.
I thought the eggs got milky white ,prior to actual spawning . Am I wrong ?:scratchhead
Eagle 1, I have heard that also, but the KEY is the eggs being loose and not connected completely with the larger mass. I think that is the best tell of when she ready. Now go fishin....
Ones I cleaned last week were very loose and more of a pale yellow than the normal bright yellow
That seems sorta strange but the good news is....you got to see it!
