Engel bait coolers
My boat it is a fish, ski, and wake board boat. We tried skiing, riding floats etc and my boys didn't care for that ( thank you God) so we turned it into an all fishing boat:biggrin That being said I have one small livewell and no baitwell. I have bought two bait buckets and two pumps in less than a year. Also my bait starts dying after 6 hours. I was gonna buy a frabill system which was $60 or more. I seen a fishing show and they was talking about the engel bait cooler. I checked it out online and found that they was on back order and most stores where sold out. I didn't see one bad review either. When the cabelas opened up I found one there 19qt and bought it. I went fishing last Saturday and bought 10doz minnows and brought back 4 doz home. I've changed out batteries once and have lost only 5 minnows in over a week. Best money I've ever spent.

I bought one of these. So far it has worked well. It is supposed to cool the water as well as add oxygen. The true test will come when the weather gets really hot.
I have it in a 3 gallon insulated bucket. I bought the 12 volt adaptor so I can run it off the boat or car 12 volt plug.

Last time I was in sams they had the engel coolers for right around $40.00 They can be easily adapted to a minner bucket

That's what I did, bought the engel cooler and modified it myself. I purchased the aireator kit from academy and mounted the unit on the side. I drilled a hole through the top of the side, installed two grommets and ran the hose in. I have used it several times and it keeps the bait lively.

I have the 30qt and it works great. I have even kept threadfin alive for a full day, and that's hard to do. Bought at cabelas for $70.
