Slow at Larto::: but
Don't remember a slower day fishing at Larto. Tried a shiner under a cork for a couple of hours, my first try with a cork. Caught just two but have a great story.
Right by the Derrick there is a tree in the water. I made the perfect cast. The second the two inch long cork hit the water, a huge ( had to be well over 8 pounds) bass aggressively surface and inhaled the entire cork, I saw in go in his mouth. I had a five second fight before he spit it out. Never thought they would attack a cork. Anyone else ever had this happen?

Maybe more of a south louisiana thing where we are generally fishing shallow water But I've had hundreds of both bass and sacalait inhale a cork. Even caught a couple bass that have had corks lodged side wards in mouth. Of course both redfish and trout love cork to at a cork. Have had redfish grab bait then inhale the cork. For these reasons fly fishing in the spring and summer for all these species is superb
