Yes it will work. You do need to make sure that it is allowed on the lake, or lakes, you are going to put it in. You can secure the limbs by using screws or zip ties.
just a suggestion but i put empty water bottles on the ends of alot of the pex branches makes it easier to find on depth finder pvc,pex will not show up on down or side scan. screw pex where you ron it through the pvc trunk and the screws will show up like lights
