I assume you are talking about crappie fishing.
I spend the majority of my time crappie fishing north of Sailboat cove. South half of the lake there are still crappie and alot more brush piles to fish than up north.
If you are new to the north end of the lake with a boat, take it slow if you don't know where the boating lanes are, there is a ton of timber in the water and just as much under the surface. Up there I spend most of my time fishing the channels or timber close to banks.
I hate to say this for fear of giving him a big head , but if you're wanting to learn El Dorado give Shane a PM or a call and go guided with him for a half day. I struggled on El Dorado for a couple years before I learned about this site, and more specifically that Shane guides El Dorado. I have gone out with him a couple times, and it's helped me out tremendously. He's also really good a teaching you how to read electronics, and if you're in the market, what 'cool' stuff to get for your boat...as he has it all.
Good Luck
Shane what's his uh tag on here just shane?
Hey Tim curious where you out there last saturday
Nope.
But i'm out there quite frequently.
I have a 16.5ft Alumnacraft that it tan\green with a walk through windshield. If you see me stop and say hi.
If i'm out there in the next month or so i'm usually up north fishing for crappie. After that I start fishing for walleye and wipers. :)
