Who manages that structure?
I don't know, but I found a neat app called floodwatch yesterday that gives you flood gauge anywhere that tells you current level and if the water is rising or falling. They have the two gauges in Henderson listed. Check it out.
It is a free app.
Yes I like it also
Let me give you another one I found. It's called Trimble pro Gps
Great Navigation app. It's was created by Cabela's
Any thoughts on fishing Henderson Friday. I would love to meet some of the guys that post on here
Where Bayou Courtableau hits the levee and becomes the Grimmet canal is not a lock so to speak. I believe it is called a low water structure that maintains water level on the Bayou Courtableau side, but also serves as a flood structure for when the water is high on that side. I may be wrong but Henderson's level is effected more by back water comes in from the locks south of the pontoon bridge. The times that Henderson appears to have the redish colored muddy water is when there is high water coming from the Grimmett canal ( At least that is the way that I understand it) .
Not that it helps me catch fish, because I normally don't. But, The levels that I check are , Atchafalaya at Butte Larose, Pontoon Bridge at Butte Larose and Lake Pelba at I-10. Those give you and idea of what the levels in Henderson is doing. Attached is a link that gives you those sites.
