Okay I have a hummingbird fish finder that came on my boat I'm looking to upgrade. The one I have has DI thought about relocating it to the front and getting one with SI on the back. So question is what would be the best fish finder for around 1000$

899 bird or check BBC electronics for a used 998. Think I saw a nearly new one over there for 900. And a fairly new 898 for around 600.
Thanks cray

Thanks Rees I looked at it I just don't know how well I trust buying from a place like that don't want to spend all that money on a dud looked into bass pro looking at the lowrance hds 7 gen 2 with structure scan y'all know anything about that
The get up with Brian at BBG before you buy, he will beat bass pros price and everything is brand neww with full warranty. Look him up in the Member Sponsor Classifieds on here.

Call and talk to Brian. He will walk you through any questions you have. Great guy to do business with. Prompt shipping and 99 out of a 100 times he is going to beat anyone else's price. If there are still rebates he can help you with that. And to answer your question, that also is a good unit.
Thanks cray I've been on their website all day looking I'm torn between the humminbird 899 and the lowrance hds 7
Unless you get a bundle with that HDS 7 you will have to add structure scan to it to get side image, the 899 will have it all in the box, nothing extra to buy to get side image
