We used to stay at Piney just north of the bridge. Now we stay at County Junction in Springville. Both are really nice but Pitney I is usually crowded.
Paris Landing State Park has a camp ground....seconds from ramp and fish cleaning station, bait shops and restaurants . Also it's just a 5-7 min boat ride to the power lines at Big Sandy.
I just looked at Eagle Creek resort this past weekend while up at Paris Landing for the Cabelas Collegiate Big Bass Bash. It looked nice with a lot of campsites right on the water on Big sandy. I cannot recommend the state park campground. Very small short campsites, very unlevel, skeeter infested campground. No view of anything other than the camper next to you and the woods. If you just need a place to set up and sleep it is OK I guess. Every state park campground I stay at is very nice, this one is the exception to that rule.
If you want to go a tad south, this place is nice.Got 2 campgrounds, one with power and the other right on the lake.
