Got this unit about a month ago. And so far I am very pleased with the unit just can not get it dialed in like i would like the images are just not as clear as I have seen from other unit. Looking for some help trying to get SI and DI image quality to my liking.Attachment 157496Attachment 157497Attachment 157498Attachment 157499 And can someone tell me what this is in picture #3 with the 2d photo.
Looks like a cable (or anchor rope...??)...going from the surface and attached to something laying on the bottom...actually 2 cables as they show as shadows in the first SI pic...and barely discernable in the dark water column...
I see similar cables in my home lake marinas where the floating docks are cabled to huge concrete anchors..
You might experiment with bringing that SI Range in to make the targets
bigger in the SI image...your SI images actually have really good detail...but the longer SI Range makes the targets pretty small...
I very seldom run SI Range past 65-70ft for waters up to 20ft deep...or so...

Those shots look pretty good. I find I get better shots going a little slower, 3 mph with a chart speed of 3, you might see if that helps any.
The pic on si is clear,adjustment is close but like already said go to shorter scale,i would go to 50 feet if looking for details and go on 3 speed

The 2d view that looks like a haystack may be crappie arches stacked up or cover with horizontal limbs such as a Christmas tree. I ran into the same thing on the local lake and I caught a bunch of crappie off of the same type of sonar view.
The pics look really good to me.
I agree with both above suggestions to slow down to about 3MPH for best pics. Bring in range to 70. If this does not get it play with chart speed and max sharpness.
