Update on NC Troopers Association Tournament 3/27/14 Lake Norman

Lake Norman was hot. 1st place total weigh in was 15.77 lbs. The Big fish was 2.3 lb. I hate to say this but I missed weigh in by 2 minutes and was disqualified. Asked for courtesy weigh. Had 18.17 lbs. Rules are rules. Most of the fish were in about 20 feet of water off docks and tree tops. Large females full of eggs. Females appear to be moving closer to banks maybe another week or so if weather warms water temp was around 61°. My team kept about 50 fish. Reason for being late to scales was trying to collect the 10 heaviest. All of our fish were from 1.5 lbs to 2.4lbs. We released about 35 smaller ones. If you have not fished this tournament, I would like to invite you to come out next year. I will post dates and times on this site.

Thanks for the report. Those are some nice fish. I hope to get out one afternoon this week!
