Monk, The fish were in 22 to 26 fow 2wks ago. Caught several but no big one's . Had seven or eight 10 or better. Went down there sat planning to fish Sun and the temp was 49 according to the guy in the office.I opted out yesterday due to the wind. That lake has many fish and last fall we caught many nice ones includihg one that weighed 2lb 15 oz. Ive got one area that I think that will hold them all year long. I have caufht them summer, fall, winter but I don't know about spawning. There is a big shallow flat in the same area I think will be perfect and not very far for them to travel to spawn that I will try maybe this week late. Hope you're doing well.

Was this lake just created, if so when? Thanks.
It opened to the public in 2010. Permit for construction was issued in 2001.
nOW THAT i HAVE FINALLY MOVED TO THE COAST i CAN POST LITTLE INFO ABOUT RANDLEMAN. in the 3 yrs i fished it before the move, I probably caught3000 or more crappie. went almost every wedesday they were open. longlined whole year, just kept adjusting depth. My best fish from there was a 2 lb 11 oz caught in april just under the doggett rd bridge in the trees and laydowns, overall best color was brown/chartreuse kalins. If you are new to this lake you can find fish quickly but expect 99 under sized fish for every 1 keeper. my best areas, and i probably shouldnt reveal them are the 1st 2 long coves parrell to the 220 bridge, the second cove produced fish all year, with many 12''' fish caught.as you leave the landing, head towards 220 but fish the bank at the boat ramp all way out to the point. muddy creek holds lots of fish in all thr coves. i have caught maybe 25 bass trolling my jigs, most around 2 to 4 lb. the depth will fool you as there are spots 50 to 60 ft deep. Its a good lake for kids and to just sit back and relax and bring in 100 a day. I was just getting some good spots mapped out when we moved. It still remains a lake known for lots and lots of small crappie.
Is this a pay lake?
Thats a good little bit. Is it worth it?
No you can go to high rock and catch all the little ones you want for free LOL!!!!
I fished the 62 bridge the one that goes to the trolling motor side when they opened could catch 150-200 fish in bout 4hrs all bout hand sizeQuote:
