Yes, yesterday was Vietnam Veterans Day and I would like to back up Cane poles post with a thanks for your service to our county post of my own here. May your service never be forgotten.

My dad was vietnam vet, when I left house to get on bus to join air force in 1979 he handed me a new wallet with a little cash gave me a hand shake and said "I hope you don't have to see the things I have"! He spent 3 tours over there and that was the one and only time in his life he ever said anything about vietnam around me. Thank the lord I didn't, took a few trips to the desert but was never in harms way.
