Wanted to take grandson and future step grandsons and future son -in-law on a day fishing trip. Due to custody issues can't get them for a overnite trip so only thing close is cooling lakes or IL river. The two future gandsons have never been fishing anybody no any good spots on the river that I can put them on panfish. Closet areas would be between Ottawa and Joliet.
Help you if I could just to far North buddy
Thanks Gobob I know Im to far north for southern IL lakes and not far enough north for Wi lakes. My trips usually are overnite so I can fish for at least a day just not do able in this situation. If nothing else I can put them on some catfish in the river they are pretty easy to find.
I don't know anything about the river. Have you tried Lake Shabbona?
