has anyone put their hands on any of these hooks yet, and are they even available at this point? really would like to try some in certain situations, wouldn't mind having a few thousand of these in 4 and 2.

ok, I ordered a box of these things and they are a real nice quality hook. haven't had a chance to pour any yet or fish them but they are super sharp to be a non chemically sharpened hook, and they are perfectly formed in every way. I wouldn't change a thing on these, I give mustad an A+ on these so far, I got the size 4's, and ordered another box yesterday, wanted to get a box of 2's also but they looked to be sold out, except some 100 packs and they were more expensive that way.
Give us a report on how you like fishing with them. Sounds like a good hook. Who did you buy from.
stumphunter, I bought these hooks from jasons tackle off an ebay listing, he also has his own site. he was only showing several boxes of 2's and 4's and also some 100 packs, his 1000 boxes might be gone now unless he got any new stock in the last couple days. It was twice as cheap to buy them by the 1000 box. I just googled mustad 32889 extra lite wire jighooks and they popped up on ebay, I think they call them crappie lites also. I'll try to pour a couple and tie a couple hair jigs in the next couple days, been workin nite shift for 7 days and would like to go fishing this weekend, even if just in a pond.
someone also said shorty's had these hooks too, I'm at work and for some reason this computer is blocking the site, I tried shorty's the other day from home and the site was down, so you may have to call them. mustad 32889 bronze 2x lite wire aberdeen jighooks.
I have been tying up some jigs on these hooks the last couple of days and you gotta really watch them because they will stick you good, I got myself gigged twice today, sharp is the word. wanted to try some fishing today but the temp is dropping pretty hard, didn't seem like the time to go.
today I fished these hooks for the first time and they didn't disappoint! they penetrate and hookup extremely well with just 4lb line, I was using the size 4,s and the jig they ended up hitting was a flash material type threadneck jig with gold and silver, this was the kreinik flash material. also used nibbles on the hook as well as a small float. I did bend one of them out to retrieve a snagged jig, it only opened up a little when it came loose, these will be great when fishing brush and lilly pads etc. in my opinion. the temper in these hooks seems to be superior in that they are springy when flexing them with your hands, can,t wait to fish them again when the fish are really on. only caught about a dozen today including crappie and small bass.
Welcome to the world of fishing with litewirehooks. They really work great when on guide trips......saves retieing and keeps the customers happy.
I hear ya Curtis! I'm a little slow to catch on, should have done this a long time ago.
