Finally got to fish today. +BONUS time with my girls!
Well the weather was suppose to be bad and it is my wife's birthday so I didn't give fishing a thought today. Went for my normal coffee run to the bait shop and just couldn't resist the urge to go fishing since the rain was a non-event. Problem: already 8am and wife's bday. If I mentioned going fishing and leaving her w/ 4 hungry kids, my name would be Mud for a week. Solution: following Micros' lead on taking a kid fishing, I figured I would be able to talk 2 of them into going with me. So showing up at home W/ a dozen donuts and a plan to take 2 kids out of the house for awhile for her to relax = fishing time! My dad, a 8 yr old, a 5 yr old, and myself took off around 9:15 to see if we could scrape together a few bass and maybe a Sac or 2. 3 hrs later we had a mess of fish and good memories with my girls. They did well, I didn't fish much just trying to get them on the fish but well worth it. Btw if any tournament fishermen are looking for a net hand, the 5yr old is a natural.
