Jack Millers
Guys,
Wish I had a better report, but I made a big round yesterday morning on the jack millers side of grand river. Only caught 6 sac's; 1 on a log along the levee, one on a big stump, one on a log in pats bay. Three in grand river punching lillies...which is what i would concentrate on if i went back today. There were a lot of boats n pats bay and every where else...I suspect some were catching! Water clear but doesn't look real good...still falling.

P.s. I don't mind giving details, but not much detail to give today!

Ricky:
I went shoot pics of the new Sorrel landing early Friday morning. I passed by Jack Miller's about daylight and there were trailers out the wazoo. I figured something was up. Especially since the Sorrel landing only had 6 trailers and most of those were commercial. I haven't heard any reports other than yours, though.
I know I wouldn't have been heading out just before daylight in all that fog we had Friday morning. I'm surprised we didn't get any accident reports. But I'm glad we didn't.
If you're not catching a box full, they can't be biting very good.

Paul,
there was definitely at least one tournament going on...I heard the guys talking about it in pats bay. I also think some fish were caught early in pats bay...just the way the boats were piled up in one area.
Did see a few eagles that would make for some nice pics. Also it is turkey season and I saw one guy at his camp with a nice one! Might b why some of the boats were out too. Tons of alligators.
The reports I'm reading have me real interested in Henderson if I get to go one evening this week...but if I were to go back to jack millers I think I'd look for tree tops with some Lillie's on them and that's where I'd fish...that's how I caught my last 3 fish yesterday...and threw back 4 or 5 small ones.
take care!

Cappy,
there is a new landing now at jack millers...very nice. I think they sell shiners and I believe there are places to camp in the bayou sorrel area. When u get ready to go , let me know and I can get some details for u.

Last year at jack millers they did not have shiners and had to travel south on 75? To get shiners. It was not far from the ramp though.
