Looks like the winds will be pretty much out of the east,so I would start fishing at green island and drift down around swan basin. If your boat will drift with the wind right. Definately carry some minners with you. I normally start fishing just above the bottom and then watch the depth finder to see if they are suspended and go from there. You will see where all the boats are if you are not familiar with the lake. If you have a smartphone, you can buy navionics app for ten bucks and that will help with the names of the areas. I always try to use the wind in my favor. Good luck.
Great man thanks for the info I just got back into fishing after about 4 years I think Iv got my boat setup to play with the wind again thanks alot for the info
I am going to tag on, as I need a bit of help also. I notice most of the motels that rent boats or have package deals say 14-16 ft. 48-52"flatbottoms with 6 hp motors. Will my 21-36 with a 9.9 be ok on Reel Foot? Hope to be down in a week or so? Thanks
Should be ok in your boat if you wanna risk the stumps. I used to run a 1436 with a 5 hp mercury. Kinda sketchy sometimes, but when it's all you got you just be extra careful. You should be fine.
