Bug's sac trip
My friends son "Bug",has never been sac fishing, so I told him if he was on "green" 3 days in a row at daycare, I'd take him catchin'. He's only 4 so I wanted it to be a good, stress free, first trip. Swamps been good but gators n squirts are thick. So I took him to the same pit I took Pistol on his 1st trip.
Brought 1 ultralight setup with slip cork and 2 dozen shiners. With 1 pole, I wouldn't be tempted to fish :)
Started at 7:30 am and he was antsy by 9:00 when he had to wait more than a minute for the cork to go down. So We left.... As hard as that was for me to do knowing good fish were there to be strung. But he caught some real nice fish. One 15 1/2" that I'm even jealous of. A few more trips in and I'll put a jig on his pole and test his patience.
All in all, I think we have another future sac fisherman.
Maybe I can get Pistol out tomorrow and catch a limit.... Or two.

You're the man, Adam. It takes a lot of patience to take young'uns fishing.

Learned a thing or three when Pistol n I went with J.R. on our trip, Mr Gene. Very thankful for what I learned. Helped me not only fishing for myself but others I bring. Especially young'ns. Life is good.

Yep, JR is quite a teacher and one hell of a good fisherman.

Good times and good fish...

Great job and some good fish too. They should stink up some oil. Congratulations.

Great story. Patience is my shortcoming. Probably the ruination o my son caused by me and my ignorant self.
