Man these bad boys are fun to catch but sure do make a mess of my 8 crappie trolling rigs. Had to re tie them 3 different times yesterday.Attachment 155321

Most of the time when one hits you know instantaneous and that's how fast it takes me to break him off. They can certainly make a HUGH mess.

I may be the only crappie chaser on this board to intentionally pursue these on longlining rigs. They make a terrible mess most times, but I can't seem to get enough of it.

I caught 14 on a recent trip and left mid morning with just about every jig in the arsenal cut off along with balls of mono...lol
