Saintee Copper
I would like to make a trip over to Saintee Copper but I see on the map they are two lakes and they are big I see a camp named Blacks camp in the middle. I would like to go at the end of March or the first of April, is Marion or Moultrie, creeks names best at this time any help Thanks in advance.

Both lakes can/are be really good. Moultrie is wide open with limited protection areas, Marion does have a few major creeks that can be fished. Both can be tough if winds get up, big waves, lots of structure.

Marion is mostly flooded cypress swamps above the I95 bridge, whereas the lower part and also Moultrie are more open. Just need to decide which terrain you prefer. From what I've heard the folks at Blacks camp are pretty knowledgeable about the lake and best fishing ares. I would recommend you stay in the area where you plan to fish because it is a long run from the lower part of Marion to the upper part and if you get out of the river channel there are plenty of stumps to deal with.
The time you are coming is prime crappie, bass and bream fishing and there are some Gollywhomper catfish in the lake too. I mean biga$$ ones that will pull you across the lake. :yikes

Use to fish Marion, great crappie fishing but beware of stumps. There's a gazillion you can't see.
