willow leaf blades

What's the deal with the willow leaf blades above jgs......I got some but haven't tried it yet

Some Pro Fisherman add a willow leaf blade to their line above the jig head. Run the line through the hole in the blade then tie the jig on. This they say adds just a bit of flash when dipping trees and stumps and may create a strike. That's about all I know about that subject. Kevin Rogers (Bobby Garland Pro Staff) has a video out on You Tube stating this very same thing........Ranger
