Best day in awhile

Fished from 6:30 to 10:30 and caught 30+ crappie, 5 bass and 3 stripers. Found fish in 12 to 17 feet, water temp was 53. Best bite was first 90 minutes, caught several doubles (same pole, two jigs). Tried to bass fish afterwards but got windy enough to chase me away. Was a really nice morning until the wind came. There was a particular color combo that they would only bite, but I'll let you guys in the tournament tomorrow figure that out on your own. hahhahaha

Battery went dead on phone so no pics, but I did notice the eggs are getting bigger and the fish color is twice as dark now as it was a couple weeks ago.

Gonna stay out of water until next week, good luck to whoever is fishing this weekend!

USAFRET99 that double rig is the deal!!! Bet one of those colors is one that you and I were using. It's going to get better too.

no was actually pink head, and black and chartreuse but they would only hit it with a pink head (just weird some days). I could have several black and chartreuse and they would not hit unless it had pink head. Happens pretty often, you just got to get lucky and find the right color sometimes. Yea i've used double before but I usually don't like to because if i'm not catching fish i'll start checking water as shallow as 2 feet and you have to get the jigs to close to boat if two jigs are on. If i know I'm staying deep i'll tie some doubles on.

so how you do today, i've done clubs before and I prefer to just fish and not have to worry about what I'm catching
