Went up to get launch permit and drove dwn to maimi ramp and looked around she still locked up solid with ice as far as i could see i didnt go to red bridge area so im not sure how it is up there i seen a eagle chasing gulls around out in front of maimi ramp pretty cool

Yeah went over to Missy today, some open water in parts of the edges but that was it. I have had the itch bad so fished a little bit at the spillway, nothing happening. One guy said he got 18 yesterday but they had slowed the flow a bit overnight. I got about 15 last weekend in the slack water. Ready for it to warm up and for the ice to leave.
Ice on missy was 13 inches thick at red bridge going to take a bit to clear off
Have never fished up there but want to thank you for taking the time to check and to post. Most people just read.
Crappie are hitting at Missy in the open water near shore. Got 23 tonight between two of us, missed a bunch more. Very light bite. blk/ chart tube jig tipped with crappie nibbles, fishing about 4-5 foot deep. Still ice in the middle of the lake but its looking pretty thin.
I'm looking forward to fishing the Missy on Monday. I'm new to the area and have not tried fishing there yet.
Fished Missy again yesterday. Fish are still biting. Wind was a bit of a pain but laid down nice before dark. 3 of us had about 60 crappie total, threw a lot back as well. Still about 4-6 feet deep on tube jigs. Blk/chart, Pink,black, and smoke colors all good. Rain today, hopefully not too much. May try again saturday or sunday.
