Aunts muddy farm pond
I still haven't been able to go to LCB to fish, and the local lakes (Shawnee and Tecumseh) haven't been giving up a bite of any kind for me from fishing dock. So this morning I drove out to my aunts pond...I threw everything in my tackle box, tried multiple speeds and tactics...NOTHING....so I put a live worm on a hook and after the wind blew bobber to the shore I caught several nice crappie (not slabs but very good keepers) also caught a bass, keeper but nothing to brag about---also caught about a 5lb channel cat. I haven't been able to buy a filet knife yet,(my knives aren't sharp enough to clean fish) so I didn't keep any---I was just glad I didn't get skunked again (and that's why I like ponds, I can catch fish in ponds consistently but not lakes---I hope this year I learn the key to lake fishing from the shore. The moral to todays fish story is "the fish are right next to the shore" at least in my aunts pond :) now I am primed and ready to head to LCB--hope I can follow through

Use a jig below a bobber and work the banks of that pond. Try it at different depths.
