Norman 3/10 and 3/11
Well my nephew and I hit Norman Monday and Tuesday. Didnt to well either day. Water Temps ranged from 50 to 60 and up to 61 on Tuesday. Monday we manly used jigs. Fished shallow and in 20' water. Managed 1 crappie at the edge of dark. We did catch a few bass while throwing the jigs. On Tuesday I spoke with a guy at the bait shop and he said that the fish were still 30 - 40 ft deep :yikes. I thought they would be more shallow than that with the water temps near 60. Any way we set back out and slow trolled some deeper water and caought nothing. We decided to drifft in the 12 to 18 ft range. While drifting my nephew thru a jig at the docks and caught some more bass. Caught 2 crappie at the edge of dark again with one being a pretty good one. I dont know what im doing wrong unless i need to find deep brush and just sat on it. The few people I talked to on the ramp pretty much had our same luck. Ah well theres always next time :biggrin

Thanks for report and I bet you could find them much shallower than 30 to 40 feet

I was out tuesday afternoon. I managed 2(in 10 fow), though I spent a bit of time bass fishing. They were hitting, and that's what I heard at the landing before I went out. I ran into another guy early on who had been out most of the day, he only had one crappie and gave it to me. He had been fishing deeper, so I had tried some shallower. Temps were 55-56 most everywhere I was

Abird and I was at the lower end of Norman on Sat 15th, and we caught fish from 7 -10am, and then the biting went dead til about 5 or 6pm and then they start biting good again til it got dark about 7:30pm. We caught fish around 3-10 fow where there are brushes around docks or tree limbs. We could not catch any pass 10 fow. Hope that help.
