Tellico 3/10 and 3/11
I got to the lake both days around 5 and fished until it was to dark to see a float. The first day the water temp was 52.3 degrees and I caught 10 keepers slow trolling blue, purple and red flies under a float set 8 feet deep over 10-12 fow. Something interesting was that every fish caught on white flies were shorts.
When I got to the spot on the 11th the water temp was 54.4 degrees but, the fish were gone and I wasted quiet a bit of time searching for them in the deeper water. I moved my flies 4-6 feet under a float and slow trolled them over 7-8 fow as a last ditch attempt to find them before it got dark in 15 minutes. It was a free for all and I ended up just fishing with one rod and put 7 keepers (2 over 14 but paper thin) in the boat. All the flies were the same color as the day before minus the white flies.
As a side note.... I thought that my temp gauge was wrong so I brought my fly fishing thermometer that I know is right and there was no difference in the two.
