Hi everybody!
I've been thinking real hard about getting a Native Watercraft Slayer Propel. I would like to hear from anybody with any experience with these and/or other NW kayaks with the Propel system. Any issues with the Propel drive or any other issues with Native Watercraft?

I don't have a propel unit YET I do however have a Native Ultimate 14.5 solo. I have had it for a couple of seasons now and I do LOVE it. I have had no issues with the kayak or any of its components. I understand that Native is a very reputable company and they make a darn nice kayak! I suggest you get to the nearest dealer and test peddle one, I am planning to do the same as soon as the ice melts up here!
Thanks for your input Bob! My next move is to go to a dealer and test peddle one. I was able to paddle around a Slayer Propel yak but it was at a boat, sport, and travel show and the test pool was too shallow to employ the Propel unit and peddle. I hope that the seat will go back far enough for me since I'm 6'4". Everything I hear about NW is good! Thanks again!
I picked mine up last week and finally got to take it out on the lake yesterday. Spent 6 hours on the water. Pedaled almost the whole time and never got tired. I have 2 other yaks, a ascend fs128t and a nucanoe. The slayer propel is now my favorite for fishing and the nucanoe will be my go to yak when taking the kids out with me. The best part was the fact that I didn't have to touch my paddle or use an anchor to hold position.
I have had mine for a few months now. Love it. Only complaint is it is a little slow to turn. Got to go out on the lake last weekend and do a little practice jiggin' (call in practice since I didn't get but one bite.) Easy to work shore lines and you will love reverse. Were I fish, there are a lot of logs in the water, but not as much trouble as I thought they would be. Usually just back up a little and go on...
Since my wife has a kayak, I have added a tow rope and I just pull her behind me to the next cove. Can really cover some water in this thing... even when towing against the wind.

Thanks for the responses everybody! Right now my girlfriend and I use a canoe. Part of the reason I want to get a kayak is for the days when she doesn't want to go fishing, I'll be able to take the yak. But I'm thinking I'm going to have to get 2 kayaks, because I'll be wanting to take the yak all the time and she'll get mad about not getting to go fishing! Hope some dealer will give me a good deal if I buy 2!!!

Nory, have you consider the Jackson BigTuna? It works well solo or as a tandem.
