The Attwoods are not worth wasting money on.I have yamaha bulbs on mine but that is because I have yamaha motors but they last and work good.
OMC is what I suggest.
O M C Yamaha ether one or big name brand you pay a little more but they work... attwood just wont pump it :biggrin
Got frustrated with all the aftermarket ones. Put a Merc bulb on my Yamaha. No problems since.
Thanks for the input. I stopped at my local Evinrude shop at lunch and they had BRP factory replacement bulbs for $25. I figured they would make you buy the entire hose assembly. I didnt want to have to order one off the 'net and wait a week.
Hey SC,
I wanted to pass along a tip to you. I got a new hose assembly (Mecury)from a shop near me. After I got the assembly installed I could not get the bulb to pump up. (I have a built in tank) I tried every trick I could think of except the one that works. I called the shop where I got it and the guy kind of laughed and told me to get in the boat and hold the hose straigt up as far as I could and then pump it up.( It was not connected to the motor.)
2 or 3 pumps and the bulb firmed right up. Seems as thought the back flow valve in the bulb need to be in the upright position to prime the hose and bulb. Once you do it one time, you are good from then on. He said it does not happen all the time, but air in the hose and bulb wil cause an air lock and if the bulb is held pointing up, you can pump all the air through it and it will prime.
I was about to bet him a case of beer that it would not work, but wisely thought better of it.
Hope this saves you the hour I spent before I gave up and called him.

Thanks for the help. Guy at shop told me that the check valve in the bulb is not spring loaded and if tilted the wrong way it didnt work right either.
Good info Ray :ThumbsUp
